Neurosign FAQ 1

<-- Back

1. If the "current confirm" light does not illuminate when the surgeon is stimulating on the nerve, what is wrong, what can I check?

If the current confirm light does not illuminate, the problem could be in one of three places:

  1. The probe is faulty.
  2. The stimulator pod is faulty.
  3. The Neurosign is faulty.

Test the probe by asking the surgeon to place the probe into another fleshy area of the wound which should give a current confirm. If this is not succesful then short circuiting the blue and white plugs on the stimulator pod will test the pod and the Neurosign showing the probe to be at fault. If the short circuit does not give current confirm then replacing the stimulator pod will prove whether the Neurosign is faulty or not.
