Launch of Brainsight-Frameless v1.7

We are happy to announce the launch of the new updated version of Brainsight-Frameless version 1.7 (v1.7b1) as an open Beta download.
This upgrade is free to all Brainsight-Frameless users and incorporates a number of new features as well as many enhancements to the current version of Brainsight-Frameless, details of which can be found in the new User Manual that comes with the download. However in summary the new version of software offers:

New MNI / Talairach registration tool to calculate a Brainsight-MNI / Talairach transformation which allows you to use MNI / Talairach coordinates as targets;

New segmentation tool to crate surface rendered objects (e.g. skin) to simplify anatomical landmark identification;

Automatic notification of updates;

Improved Polaris interface;

Improved performance;

Improved project data management (reconstructions, markers, trajectories etc...) can be shared over multiple windows, and closing the window no longer deletes the data associated with it.
As with v1.5 Rogue Research will continue to add new functionality to v1.7 over the next 12 months, and to help users stay up to date with the latest revisions an Automatic Update Notification function has been added to routinely check for newer versions and updates to Brainsight Frameless.
While 1.7b1 is a beta version, it has undergone more testing in-house than any other version of Brainsight-Frameless before it, so we are hopeful that it will be the most stable edition ever. However, just in case, we have added a utility to simplify notifying Rogue Research of any crashes that may be encountered, the "Smart Crash Reporter". Users can choose to install this utility which will allow you to send notification of a crash to Rogue Research with a single click of a button.
Rogue Research has created a Brainsight-Frameless user forum to provide a new location for users to request information, help or improvements to the system, this can be found at www.rogue-research.com/forums and we would welcome your input. We will use this Forum area to announce future releases of Brainsight Frameless as well as publishing a number of tips and hints for making better use of your software.

Go to www.rogue-research.com;

Select Downloads from the Support menu;

You will be prompted for a valid Brainsight Frameless serial number to access the Downloads area, this can be found within your existing Brainsight-Frameless user manual (e.g. 67G-F1S-98Z1);

You will then be prompted to update your contact information. If you have misplaced your password, send me a message at info@rogue-research.com and we will look it up in our records and get back to you.

Select ‘Brainsight Frameless 1.7b1’ and the download will start automatically.
