Reusable Probes
The reusable Stimulating Probes available for the Neurosign range of motor nerve monitors are designed to be reused a limited number of times. Please note that single-use versions of all these probes are now available.
All the reusable probes may be decontaminated using a standard Sterilising Department washing machine, and may be sterilised using a high temperature steam autoclave. Instructions for decontamination and sterilisation are available here.
A lifetime of about 10 uses should be considered normal, although reusable stimulating probes do not have a stated number of uses as they are subject to extreme temperatures and are fragile. With care, a longer life can be expected.

- Bipolar, teflon coated tips

- Suitable for mastoid and thyroid surgery
Please note: The teflon coating is fragile, and the probe cannot be repaired if it is damaged. A sterile, single-use version is also available.
