Regional TMS Course – Manchester

Magstim are pleased to announce the Northern Regional Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Course to be held on 2nd March 2018. The course is the second of a series of quarterly regional events which will take place throughout the UK.
The course is aimed at consultant psychiatrists looking to understand how TMS Therapy can benefit their patients suffering from depression.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is a proven treatment for patients suffering from depression and is recognised by NICE and the Royal College of Psychiatrists as a safe and effective therapy.
The course is tailored to small groups of up to 12 participants and provides a comprehensive and interactive overview of TMS therapy. Participants will gain an insight into the clinical evidence behind TMS, hands-on practical training, explanation on how to set up and run a clinic and experiences of two leading authorities on TMS in the UK.
The course will be led by Dr Mohamed Abdelghani – Director of the Clinical TMS Society, founder & lead Consultant Psychiatrist of the TMS service at Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust and Prof Vince Walsh – Professor of Human Brain Research at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, Faculty of Brain Sciences UCL.

- Motor threshold mapping, standard and theta burst protocols delivery – practical workshops
- Experiences in setting up and running a TMS clinic – Dr Mohamed Abdelghani
