Introducing the Geodesic EEG System 500 – EGI GES 500
EGI is proud to unveil the GES 500 HD-EEG system—a transformative new platform designed to advance brain research, precision stimulation, and advanced clinical research by improving ease of use and EEG signal quality.
As the global leader and gold standard in high-density EEG, EGI is redefining what’s possible in neuroscience by combining next-generation hardware with intelligent, intuitive software.
An Intelligent Platform for Scientific Discovery & Clinical Research
The EGI GES 500 is more than an amplifier—it’s a platform that integrates more commercial and open-source tools than ever before. Its future-ready architecture supports artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) integrations for minimal latency closed loop applications, creating new opportunities for breakthroughs in neuroscience and non-invasive brain stimulation.
The EGI GES 500 HD-EEG system empowers researchers to push boundaries with:
- Industry leading data quality
- True integrations for easier workflows
- Full integration and unified interface with Magstim TMS
- More options to explore network brain dynamics and discover biomarkers
- A future-focused ecosystem
- Designed for rapid application, comfortable Geodesic Sensor Nets

Celebrating a century of EEG research with a platform for the future
The EGI GES 500 HD-EEG system empowers researchers to push boundaries with:
- Industry leading data quality through continuous improvements in hardware (new battery power option and higher sampling rates) and software (Net Station 6 on custom built PC), ensuring you capture the dynamic network activity of the brain you might otherwise miss.
- True integrations for easier workflows: Users will be able to easily use a wide range of solutions for time locked experiments, eye trackers, brain stimulation equipment including TMS, and other neuromodulation technologies through a single integrated interface.
- Full integration and unified interface with Magstim TMS: control EEG recording and TMS stimulation with unified interface in Net Station 6. Magstim TMS devices will communicate with GES 500 about pulse delivery to minimize artifacts in the EEG recording along with time locked events to pulse onset for further artifact removal and analysis.

Unlock New Possibilities
- More options to explore network brain dynamics and discover biomarkers: users can seamlessly analyze data in a range of commercial (Net Station Tools, BESA, Persyst), open source (EEGLAB, Fieldtrip, Brainstorm, MNE, HAPPE, MADE, TESA) tools or engage companies like Selway Data, Lucerum or Mindig that offer cloud-based analysis services and support for multi-site studies and clinical trials.
- A future-focused ecosystem with on-device advanced AI, machine learning hardware to allow low-latency EEG feature extraction for closed loop applications including phase locked stimulation, brain computer interfaces and advanced neurofeedback.
- Designed for rapid application, comfortable Geodesic Sensor Nets – 32, 64, 128 and 256 saline or gel Ag/AgCl sensors for high quality, high resolution recordings of brain activity across the lifespan to define biomarkers of brain function and disfunction and inform therapies.
