EEG Hyperscanning

Multi-subject recordings

Study two brains at once with dual synchronized acquisition.

One GES 400  system for recording functional neural activity per participant, along with a device or method of synchronizing data acquisition. When using the GES 400, synchronization is accomplished using the Net Amps 400 ability to input and output its clock signal along with the EGI clock synch module.

01
What is hyperscanning?

The simultaneous acquisition of brain data from two participants.

02
Why perform hyperscanning?

To capture the neural basis of social interactions, such as synchronous neural activity between participants, causal changes in functional connectivity, inferences about the mental states of another person, and more.

03
Why should I do hyperscanning with whole head HD EEG?

Increased spatial resolution, whole brain coverage, millisecond temporal resolution, multimodal capabilities and cost effectiveness are some of the many advantages of whole head HD EEG over other neuroimaging techniques.

04
Usage

Hyperscanning with the GES 400 HD EEG system is not intended for use in the diagnosis or treatment of any disease or condition. It is a scientific research instrument designed for performing measurements and acquiring data for neurophysiological research.
